Stella is a former MSA Poets Potpourri Society board director, who does not considers herself a writer or a poet, but admires and advocates for the written and spoken word. As a youth she enjoyed memorizing and reciting poetry by other writers and on occasion finds herself doing so today.
Stella holds an Interior Design degree from the University of Manitoba, Faculty of Architecture and has practiced design for many years working on commercial projects.
The past several years her focus had shifted into the fine arts arena. As an artist, art educator and arts advocate, she continues to address various social issues. Most recently racism, the environment, and a new project in the works on the homeless.
Born in Europe, she immigrated to Winnipeg, Manitoba as a child, and has called Abbotsford her home since 1990.
